The de-swooshified, made-in-Italy Air Jordan II moves in a suave new direction with a sleek faux lizard skin upper and minimalist design.

To provide more protection for the foot MJ injured the earlier year, a full length Air Sole and beefed up midsole are employed. The II also becomes the only AJ never originally released in black.

Plain and simple - MJ dominates. He wins the first of seven consecutive scoring titles averaging an astounding career-high 37.1 ppg and is the first player ever to record 100 blocked shots, and 200 steals in a season.

He pours in points at every turn, 40+ in nine straight games, 58 against New Jersey (2/26/1987) and a league record 23 in a row during a 61 point onslaught in Atlanta )4/16/87). All-Star, First-Team and his first Slam Dunk titles all go up on the mantle.
