MJ' instincts about bringing a "formal look" to the hardwood prove to be right on the money. Patent leather makes its first-ever appearance on basketball kicks and the result is one of the most loved Jordans of all times.

But looks are only half the story. The XI's carbon fiber spring plate, polymer-coated upper and the unique properties of the patent leather itself result in a top performing shoe that is proven to assist MJ's already all-universe game as he claims his fourth title.

On the road to his record eight scoring title (30.4 ppg), MJ becomes only the second player to win MVP for the regular season, All Star game and NBA Finals in the same season.

Durable as ever, he is the only Chicago player to start in all 100 regular season and playoff games. Adding a lethal fade-away jumper to his arsenal, he reaches 40+ nine times, pouring in a league-high 54 points vs. Detroit (3/7/1996). He also has season highs of 16 boards at New Jersey (3/16/96) and 8 dimes vs. New York (12/6/95). Chicago breezes through the playoffs losing only one game to Miami, New York and Orlando on the road to defeating Seattle in six.
